The Brave and Kind Collective was born from a desire to live life by creating a moral code rooted in love, and to spread that love throughout the world. We believe that people are inherently good, and given the information and tools to effect positive change will mobilize their inherent altruism and build an immensely positive movement. B+K Co. sees the seemingly insurmountable challenges that exist in our world and envisions solutions not as one single act, but a wave made up of millions of small everyday acts of good.

Bravery and Kindness are lifestyle choices and character pillars personified by Erin Coonan-Schmidt who is in the inspiration for our company’s name. Facing a terminal illness, Erin chose to be brave when she could have been afraid, and to be kind when she could have been angry. To be brave does not mean you are a superhero; we think to be brave is to choose to do what is right instead of what is easy, and to find courage when life challenges you. As Erin boldly declared, “Fear is loud, but I am louder!”. To compliment and balance bravery, we show kindness. To be kind is to think of others before thinking of yourself, and to act with intent to help make your world a better place. While kindness is something we show outwardly, we need to be kind to ourselves, too. B+K Co. aims to help people exemplify bravery and kindness in their lives everyday.
