Nelson Mandela speaks, you listen: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Changing the world is what we are about. Brave + Kind isn’t just a store. It’s also a hub of learning. We use our business as a platform to widen educational opportunities. We highlight a few SDGs every month and explore them through a variety of avenues. From journal entries to speakers, book clubs to family dinners (cause, yeah, you’re family!), poetry slams, roundtables, movie viewings, children’s activities, and so much more! We dive into these important topics. Have conversations. Ask questions. Listen. Learn. Grow. ‘Cause, there’s always something new to learn, and we think learning about our planet and the beings inhabiting it is pretty cool.

This all sounds great, yea? We can talk the talk, but can we walk the walk? We want to do good, so now let’s prove it! We want to be intentional in our actions, and be as authentic as possible. So, we start at the beginning. Brave + Kind Co incorporated as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) - “a for profit corporation or domestic cooperative that is intended to produce one or more public benefits and to operate in a responsible and sustainable manner.” Our mission is simple, we are here to give back and pay it forward through our money, time, and resources. Donating a portion of every sale to socially impactful causes is rad, but we can’t just write a check and think, “job well done.” We’ll keep you up to date with cool projects we’re working on, and use our platform to offer a place for others to collaborate with us. Always trying to promote inclusivity and partnership, keep an eye out for other businesses rotating in and around our world.

Our Collective is defined by our sense of community. Extending beyond physical space and items for sale, ‘Collective’ means togetherness. We set out to design a space that brings people together, encourages folx to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, and supports health and well-being. While our space serves as our hub and makes for a safe place to shop, it’s also a safe place to share ideas, express yourself, and learn. B+K is a cozy, welcoming work space that houses all your favoritesustainable brands and includes an organic cafe with a full menu of healthy drinks and organic treats. Let’s be real: we need to sell stuff to be able to do good, and the stuff we sell is tied to good causes. So when you browse the store and buy the brands that help build and diversify the Collective you’re good knowing you’re making smart choices. That feels good. And just like that, you’re part of the Collective.
